Disappointing meals (and there are a lot of them on Maui) can totally ruin a dream vacation. Don’t leave your planning to chance or rely on slick advertising-driven guides. Other tourist books with their capsule “reviews” don’t come close to the insight you’ll get from opinionated, knowledgeable restaurant critics who live on Maui.
Food journalists James and Molly Jacobson are two big-city-exiles who live on Maui and dine out an average of 11 times per week. Their honest, take-no-prisoners review guide is written with the philosophy that people who love to eat and prefer not to waste money on bad food should know the truth about Maui’s well-marketed dining scene.
Tens of thousands of elated and relieved visitors have trusted Top Maui Restaurants (both the online version and previous editions of this book) to guide them to the best eats on Maui.
In this 2010 edition you’ll find:
* The top romantic restaurants worth the splurge.
* The best inexpensive but tasty places.

Don’t be fooled
I am baffled at how this book became popular – must simply be marketing. The way the reviews are written make me question what qualification the authors have other than enjoying…

I wish I had bought this years ago!
My wife and I own two vacation rental condos in Kihei which we visit 2-3 times each year. I just bought this book as a digital download a couple of days ago and it is fanstastic…

A “must have” for visiting Maui!
We just returned from our very first (but far from last) fabulous trip to Maui, which simply would not have been as wonderful without this book.

Very useful on North Shore (Pa’ia) and UpCountry, too. Every comment in the book was “right on.” Highly recommend using this book when in Maui.

Excellent resource
Book gives reader a fair and thorough review of the restaurants but also informs best places to shop, farmer’s markets, types of fish available on islands, etc.

This book gives such good useful information. We love the good and the negative comments. Also the other “where to” recommendations are great.
